37signals Newsletter: June 24, 2008
===================================
Good morning. Just a quick email from 37signals headquarters.
We don't hire often, but we're currently looking for two
great people to join our team.
Note: We don't care where you live. We're based in Chicago, but
half of our company works remotely in different cities across
the country (and in Canada). So if you think you're right
for either job please do get in touch.
1. GRAPHIC WEB DESIGNER
We're looking for a special designer who wants to come in and
change our game. We're looking to be reinvented visually.
The job would include completely redesigning our public facing
marketing sites and being in charge of constantly evolving
that public image. Help us better communicate the benefits of
our products. Think simple, but also think visual beauty.
More imagery, more graphical, less plain text.
In many ways this is a creative/art director role, but also a
"you'll do the work too" role. So whatever you dream up you'll
also be designing and executing. It's a high profile position
for us with lots of influence across our company and
the industry.
2. CUSTOMER SERVICE
We're looking for someone who loves helping other people. We
get about 150 emails a day from our customers with all sorts
of questions: How do I do this? Does Basecamp do that? How come
import isn't working like I thought in Highrise?
We currently have one person doing all our support, but it's time
to expand the department to two. You'll be working directly with
Sarah (our customer support person) to answer people's questions,
improve the help section, post to the customer forums, etc.
All support is handled via email and the web. So if you enjoy
helping people, you love writing, and you're a generally friendly
and sympathetic person who derives satisfaction from making sure
other people are happy, this could be the job for you.
INTERESTED IN EITHER JOB?
If you're interested in either position, please email:
svn@37signals.com and include either [designer] or [support]
in the subject line depending on which job you are interested in.
Thanks so much and we look forward to hearing from you.
